After completing my Ph.D. studies in the Department of Linguistics at UCLA, I spent two years studying Chinese as part of the East Asia Group of SIL International. Following this in March through June 2008, I performed the fieldwork and data collection for a survey of dialect variation among speakers of Dejing Southern Zhuang in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. A draft of the report from this research is available on my Research page; comments are welcome!
Information about my dissertation research, my research interests, and my CV can also be found on my Research page. Information about some of the classes I have taught can be found on my Teaching page. If you're bored, look at everything else.
